National Directors Meeting 2006
During the first week of July, AIESEC EBC hosted the
National Directors Meeting 2006 with
the main objective to bring all our local executive boards together
in order to present the new National Team, develop the AIESEC in
Mexico Vision 2010, present the strategies we are going to lead
during this year and make some improvements in our structures, local
plans and legality of our organization. All this in order to improve
our performance as organization, align our contribution globally and
deliver our stakeholders better results and service as a real AIESEC eXPerience with all the elements the platform is offering.
With the presence of around sixty leaders who are representatives of
the local committees in the different universities AIESEC exists,
representatives of companies as McGraw-Hill and alumni who are
involved with AIESEC.
This year we are going to have many conferences in which our
stakeholders can participate, so please keep in touch so we can keep
you up-to-date about the forthcoming events.
Local Committee Expansion
This month we started to research for and work on the Expansion
Initiative of AIESEC in Mexico. After our analysis and suggestions
from companies we decided to re-open AIESEC in Queretaro. This time
and for a while it is going to work as an extension of another local
committee which will be selected by the Member Committee and it will
be supporting the initiative by being representative with the
stakeholders there.
We are expecting the support from the stakeholders to make our
network wider and stronger.
Ready For The Recruitment?
Human Capital work this month was dominated by the upcoming
recruitment period. While the local committees were getting ready
to put up the stands and promotion materials, adapting the
information session presentations and induction content, in the
Member Committee, we have been working on providing all the
necessary materials. Have a look at the updated tools:

Back In Touch With Alumni
July was a big month for organizing information and
re-constructing the network of people that were at one time or
another members of AIESEC in Mexico, in other words, the network of
ALUMNI.
The first contact was aimed at inviting the ALUMNI to AIESEC in
Mexico's Stakeholders Gala 2006, however, building stronger and more
sustainable relationships is the main goal for this year. The next
step will be gathering feedback and implementing a structured
program for efficiently and effectively involving ALUMNI of AIESEC
in Mexico's activities so that both ALUMNI and members reap the
benefits of working together.
Welcome to the Opportunities in
AIESEC in Mexico !
One of the big challenges any organization has is to learn from
the history and take into account the current state in order to
evolve sustainably towards the achievement of a stated vision.
That is precisely what has been happening in the External Relation
Area this July, where due to the big internal needs and
external opportunities, we have the great challenge to structure and
start up an area that aims to give us the needed resources to
deliver more and more experiences trough AIESEC. It is quite an
exciting journey from now until July 2007 and we are completely motivated
to contribute actively to society through the involvement of the companies, organizations
and NGOs in our activities. We widely openly invite you to take
advantage of the opportunities our organization can give and can
represent for your Corporate Responsibility and Talent desires.
Among the main initiatives we developed in July, was the
consolidation of a National Products Portfolio, which aims to give
personalized opportunities to organizations who wants to partner
with AIESEC, taking into account the best focus we can give to the
relation. In particular, we want to share with you our Corporate
Responsibility Partnership, which aims to start to develop talented
people among this topic trough conferences, learning circles and
Team works. And, in the other side, we are aiming to constitute an
option for companies that currently needs talent in terms of taking
advantage of our learning process to consolidate a sustainable Human
Resource.
Please, feel free to approach to us. We are sure we have ways to
cooperate.
External Relations Team (Cindy
Rocha, Gwendolyn Price,
Sebastian Bustamente)
As one of the major components to achieving the
global @2010
and AIESEC in Mexico's vision we need to start the implementation of of learning
environments and projects that are created around a specific issue in society,
such as Corporate Social Responsibility, so that all members live their
experience in AIESEC based on an issue. For this purpose a Task Force in the
MC has been
created to support this implementation at the local level. This Task Force is
integrated by Daniela Raeger, Carlos Cortés, Sebastiàn Bustamante and chaired by
Erika Macías. The aim of this Task Force is to ensure the implementation of these experiences in
all AIESEC's systems.

It is important for AIESEC in Mexico to keep finance under
control by audites. Because of this, we have an Internal Auditors
