From October 26-29th, more than 250 AIESECers came together to
learn, exchange ideas and do networking in Córdoba, Veracruz - An
amount of people that had never before be seen at one Conference of
AIESEC in Mexico.
It was the first time a conference got together three different
stages of our AIESEC eXPerience. A great challenge was the
integration of the three parallel agendas (Execution Meeting for
experienced members, Taking Responsibility Seminar for new members,
and National Outgoer Preparation Seminar for members who are about
to leave on an exchange). However, we found great inspiration in the
interaction of the agendas aswell as from the 10 international
participants and 8 externals present.
During this conference we had the participation of stakeholders such
as Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst&Young, Deloitte, The Hunger
Project, IBM and Dunamis Consulting at our CR Day 2006. Young
leaders from all over the country came together to enrich their
knowledge about Corporate Responsibility and how to implement this
into their projects that will be run in the Local Committees after
this conference.
Corporate Responsibility Day 2006
The past 27th of October, AIESEC in Mexico
celebrated a complete day of conferences, learning circles and
workshops among the Corporate Responsibility as part of our National
Taking Responsibility & Execution Meeting done in Córdoba Veracruz.
More than 250 members from 8 cities and 13 universities in Mexico
participated of this learning environment nurtured by the presence
of IBM, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, The Hunger Project and Dunamis
Consulters. The objectives of the day were:
- Facilitate an active learning space on social responsible
leadership that motivate action in Mexico.
- Gather different realities and experiences from Mexico and
wake up a global perspective in the young people and
organizations.
- Recognize concrete best and relevant practices that can
serve as an example to drive new projects.
- Facilitate the creation of networks that can develop the
ideas that are born throughout the Day discussions.
- Leverage AIESEC’s mission and programs, nourishing new ideas
and partnerships and contributing directly to the development of
young change agents in Latin America
We widely thank all the present organizations. With this day we
give the first concrete and strong steps in order to give
consistency to our national strategy.
Board of Advisors Meeting
The Member Committee had its second meeting with the Board of
Advisors with the objective of review the plan of AIESEC in Mexico,
update about Alumni Strategy, External Relations and the results of
the recruitments at local level. The AXLDS was also a topic of
interest between our BoA members, who will be supporting for its
development.
Soon we will inform you about the members of the Supervisory Group

them in case you have questions about the performance of the
leadership team in the Member Committee, the strategies that are
shaping the contribution of AIESEC in Mexico for the AIESEC 2010
Vision and the transparency and accountability of the MC to Local

On October 19 in the Restaurant Los Olivos, Alumni of AIESEC come
together for the second social meeting of the year. It was a
pleasant evening with music, appetizers and drinks where Alumni were
able to mingle. We were honored to have Mr. José Luis Canales and
Mr. Pedro Luis Pinsón, both recipients of the global Alumni Hall of
Fame award, present at the event.
In Puebla, the local committee of UDLA participated in a relaxed
Alumni meeting at the Italian Coffee café on October 12. The Alumni
that arrived shared stories from their time in AIESEC as well as
advice for the current members. Little by little AIESEC in Mexico is
in contact with more Alumni, whose relationships we deeply value
AIESEC in Mexico would like to extend a warm thanks to Rafael
