Americas Exchange and Leadership Development Seminar is held
in Guanajuato
During March 2007 we were delighted to host
AXLDS 2007 in the city of Guanajuato, after 5 years waiting for this
opportunity this year was the time for AIESEC in Mexico and we made
it as only Mexicans can do it!
We welcomed more than 180 delegates from all over Latin America,
Spain and US; we even had delegates from Japan, India and Canada.
With Edyson Dos Santos, President of AIESEC International and Araz
Najarian (Director for the Spanish Speaking Growth Network) present
in the conference and interacting with all the delegates and
facilitators with a lot of energy and passion we got the best of our
local and national leaders in the region to make SER MAS the most
successful initiatives of the global network.
During this regional conference we also had the participation of
externals during our Learning Networks day with participants from
Grupo Bimbo, Philips, Ashoka, New Ventures Mexico sharing their
experiences and knowledge with us.
Thanks to the Organizing Committee, without them we couldn't make it
possible and to the Mexican Delegation who demonstrate the energy
and passion of AIESEC in Mexico once more!
While Mexico was receiving the 200+ active members from Latin
America and the world we had the added pleasure of hosting a
conference from the 23rd to 25th of March in the Hotel Gran Plaza in
Guanajuato for those who continue to be AIESECers at heart, the
Alumni. Among the 32 people who attended we had one Alumnus from
AIESEC Costa Rica and 3 from AIESEC Venezuela.
The weekend was full of laughs, nostalgia, integration, thoughtful

New National Partner: PHILIPS
AIESEC in Mexico, in order to strengthen the national structure
and our learning platform, aiming to create more and more leadership
opportunities and through this way, activating leadership, is
nowadays in a huge campaign of partner’s creation.
Is a great pleasure for us to announce that PHILIPS Mexico (www.philips.com.mx)
is our new and first national Corporate Responsibility Partner.
Through this partnership we'll be able to give our current learning
environment the needed content to make it real and this way, letting
our members gain the correct and consistent tools to form in our
issues. Besides, we will be able to give concrete CR opportunities
to AIESEC members through the international exchange program.
PHILIPS Mexico will be participating in our conferences, learning
circles, virtual discussions and will be present virtually in our
media.
We widely thank the organization and we commit to take this new
partnership forward.
Induction and Motivation Seminar
After recruiting 90 new members nationally, the
committees in Mexico City as well as UDLA Puebla joined forces to
organize an Induction & Motivation Seminar. With the participation
of the Youth American Business Trust, they came together in the
Universidad Panamericana during the weekend of March 10th-11th to
introduce the new members to AIESEC while observing their aptitude.
The new AIESECers showed great spirit and drive. Experienced members
meanwhile had the chance to deepen their knowledge and to develop
training skills.
