September month was very effective and full of very important activities. MC team had team building in Guanajuato and in the same time celebrated Independence Day with our members and trainees.

Also during September agendas for TRS, XM and NOPS 2007 were finished and registration for conferences was opened.

What? Corporate Responsibility Day AIESEC in Mexico 2007
What about? Gathering different sectors, experiences and perspectives to build a complete and dynamic day for learning and projects development over Sustainable Leadership in Mexico: this is the main goal of the Corporate Responsibility Day.
When? October 26th 2007
Where? Instituto Politecnico Nacional, UPIICSA, Mexico City
What possibilities companies have? to support and participate of the CR Day, sharing your ideas, presenting your best practices about social responsibility and sustainable development all this made through dynamic activities.

 

BoA Meeting

At October 19th MC team had meeting with our Boards of Advisors, what purpose was:

- Introduce to the new BoA member, Dr. Francisco Gil Diaz, to the board and to the Member Committee.
- Receive feedback from them about the last results as Member Committee along these months.
- Receive comments and Feedback related to our new projects and priorities for the next months.
- Increase the communication with them.
- Discuss different kind of topics as the Gala, UP case, Alumni project, etc.
- Schedule a new meeting with them by the end of January.

- Projects related to Alumni
- New opportunities to work with Telefonica Moviles
- Topics related to Finances

 

Exchange updates

Realization in the first trimester of our Term, if we watch on the charts, we can notice improvement per month, increasing and getting sustainability in the exchange areas.
The fist trimester was focus on member education and from now on we are focus on the implementation, harder campaigns and specific recruitment for specific countries in order to have a notable improvement of our performance mainly in ICX side.
We already have 28 available Tn’s and 62 Available EP’s (Exchange Participants), plus more than 25 forms already matched.
At the first Number review, Mexico is now the 3rd place in Exchanges (ICX & OGX) in the Iberoamerica Growth network.

Next national conferences

TRS, XM

When? 25th to 28th of October.


Where? IPN - UPIICSA in Mexico City. LC Host Politecnico.
Organizing committee president Karla Amezcua.
# Delegates more than 200 delegates.

TRS - The objective of the conference is motivating the newies to take responsibilities in their own learning and development role. The conference should clarify them that their personal development is mainly up to them.

XM –The objective is to evaluate the implementation of national strategies, planing review and the execution at local level.
And bring down information from IC and inform witch global strategies we will apply. This conference is for EBs and members with experience in the organization.

NOPS – This conference is for preparion of EP´s to live their exchange experience; practical and cultural preparation. They will learn about first-hand experiences of Returnees, Trainees and they will interact with new and experienced AIESECers.

Projects

TRS, XM

AIESEC in Mexico is working with a Regional Program called SerMas, which have three initiatives around we create and run projects based on exchanges (PBOXes); these initiatives are Corporate Responsibility, Social Entrepreneurship and Business Entrepreneurship.

We are running projects in all our Local Committees, these projects include Exchanges and Learning Environments to develop knowledge and practices around topics based on the initiatives. Most of our projects in Mexico are about Corporate Responsibility.

Alumni as Faci

Because our Alumni are professionals, excellent profiles and have life experiences, we want all of our Alumni participating in our activities.
And one of our best ways to involve them, are our National Conferences, we want our Alumni giving trainings, sharing experiences and allowing the development of our talent; AIESEC offer them to get feedback and opinions from young leader people from the best universities (AIESEC Members), connect with partners, alumni and members network, and feel and get involved with AIESEC again.

Getting clear finances!

The first audit of the period had concluded, now the Finance Xtreme Team is working on these results to have the accounting clear and well done, so that our partners can still trust that the money the are giving to AIESEC is being well managed and used!
