How does AIESEC develop people?

As a member of a higher performing organization, we continually identify, develop and improve the skills, knowledge and attributes
(Competencies) necessary for individual and organizational success, now and in the near future.

AIESEC develops the members with special tools, the Personal Goal Settings is one of them and this tool is one of essential elements of mid and long term motivation for AIESEC People to act and to develop. This tool with a learning plan and plan career, are evaluated each tree months to track the development of each member. As a organization we have all the tool and process in site to develop our members.

Finance training

We had a training on the finance processes and how to use electronic bank, we were together at UDLA in Puebla members from Guadalajara, Ciudad de Mexico, EBC, La Salle, Puebla and ITAM in order to be trained about how to execute processes and that our EBs can have a better performance on their areas. It was given by Martha Rivas responsible of national finances.

Also in the Tec de Monterrey in Monterrey met Ciudad Juárez, Culiacán and Monterrey to receive the same capacitating by Mónica Martínez, National Support Team.

Now we can say that finance members are trained to continue developing and having a better performance to be a great association!

New global information system - MyAIESEC.net

Monday, December 10, 2007, all AIESEC Network is waiting that MyAIESEC.net will become our new global online communication, collaboration and organizational management tool!

System, that has been creating from August last year, finally will change our old aiesec.net system.
It was built around needs and wishes of members and strategies to enrich AIESEC Experiences. System has completely different approach - it is based on members profile and stage of AIESEC XP and has a lot of new important features, what are going to improve our work.

Currently AI is giving virtual classes to MC all around the world, in order to prepare them for new system.

Exchange updates

Right now we are working offline, because of the change of systems to the new MyAiesec.net, this not a problem for exchangers, who are working to achieve our Global goal of 5500 Exchange till the end of December Mexico currently is working with some initiatives focus on the outgoing exchange area, we are pushing mainly the ASIA Pacific region and Iberoamerica, this because we know, that many Mexicans have a lot of opportunities in these regions.

Few days ago we had training for ICX in Mexico City with the intention of solve some quality troubles and immigration processes. Next December 20th OGX is preparing an Advance Training were we will include pocket recruitments and also how to use the new system.

We are preparing the closing for this semester so at the end of the month we will know how much do we grow compared with the last year. Also quality and delivery times of 2007.

Conal and SDL are coming

Right after our last national conferences, we started to work on preparation of our next national conferences - CONAL and SDL 2008.

CONAL is especially for LCPs, EB and old members. Main objective of CONAL are to elect new MC team, present LCs reports, make changes in compendium, approve LCs organizing next conferences and give training for EB and experienced members.
Conference manager: Octavio Soto

SDL is mostly for members, who didn't attend any leadership development seminar. It's main objectives are:
Personal discovery. Delegates explore their values and personal understanding of leadership and connection of these elements to their lives. Delegates realize steps to awaken leaders in each person.
Activating leadership and motivation. Delegates are empowered to confront challenges in their current leadership roles in life and their leadership roles in the future, within AIESEC or otherwise.
Personal development. Delegates develop leadership skills, which will bring them towards being excellent leaders in their lives. They are continuing their personal development after the conference.
Networking. Delegates are establishing an intense network amongst each other – future leaders.
