February month was special with one very important even - IPM 2008. International conference, what is only for presidents and presidents elected for the next year. And at that conference we elected next President of AIESEC International.

International Presidents Meeting 2008
The Republic of Macedonia
February 18 – February 27, 2008

What is IPM?

International Presidents Meeting is AIESEC's most important Annual Global Leadership Congress, where all national AIESEC presidents and their successors will meet.

IPM 2008 brings to Republic of Macedonia, Country Leaders together and starts with the core: facilitating contact between young talented individuals, who work together to fulfill the ambition of AIESEC as an organization. During IPM 2008 they will decide upon worldwide AIESEC policies and elect the global organization leaders. Through workshops, trainings and obtaining knowledge they are prepared for their leadership roles.

This year, IPM 2008 is even more important. This year is year of celebration in our Global Network and in the Republic of Macedonia, celebrating 3 jubilees: 60th Anniversary of AIESEC Globally, 55th Anniversary of AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia and the 50th International Presidents Meeting.

Facts about IPM 2008:

•IPM is AIESEC's most important Annual Global Leadership Congress
•IPM witness's participation of more than 200 young business leaders from over 100 countries & territories across the world.
•IPM involves AIESEC's International Partners & Supporters: ING, InBev, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cadbury Schweppes, Tata Consultancy Service and DHL to name a few.
•IPM 2008 will celebrate 3 jubilees: 60th Anniversary of AIESEC Globally, 55th Anniversary of AIESEC in the Republic of Macedonia, 50th International Presidents Meeting.

We were all the top leaders of AIESEC:
•The national presidents of all our AIESEC countries and Expansion initiatives
•Interacting with the AIESEC International team – 22 people from 18 different countries working with AIESEC at global level.
•The Global Partner Coordinator of UBS, DHL, Alcatel, TATA, Electrolux.
•The applicants for PAI, GN directors and to AIESEC International.

Exchange updates

Situation now

Its a pleasure for me inform you that February was a great month in exchange specially in incoming side. we had 9 incoming exchange compared with the 3 of last year in the same month, with this number we beat the record of February in 2007 and 2004 with 6 exchanges in ICX.

We had in Total 16 exchanges in February, the same as January. And we still have 56 available TNs and 63 Available EPs

We already finish a matching campaign in OGX and for the next days we will start a hard promotional campaign around the world in order to match all our EPs and TNs.

How do we grow

In this first Quarter of the year (January, February and March) we have until today a growth of the 50% in ICX and -5% in OGX for an over all growing of the 16 % in the first quarter of the year witch is good consider that we are in the beginning of March.

For growing, LC's are having agreements with other international LCs focus in Iberoamerica.

Our place in GN

Our place right now in the GN is Growing in small step but still growing and getting closer to the countries in from of us.
The GN Rank consider exchange TN&EPs from july 07 till Today

1.- Brasil = 216 exchanges
2.- USA = 126
3.- Colombia = 119
4.- Mexico = 113

From which countries arrived interns in the last month and where left.

Let's welcome to our new Interns from Colombia, Germany, Taiwan, Poland and in few days from Turkey, Italy.
Also the Mexican abroad last moth like in Guatemala, Germany, Fance, Canada, Brasil, Chile.

 

45 anniversary

Our Anniversary is running!, as we have been announcing 2008 is a big and great year for AIESEC, is our 45th anniversary in Mexico, and 60th anniversary in the world, and is a great opportunity to meet you again!

We want to invite you to our main celebration, 4th and 5th of June in Mexico City!

Our Celebration wants to integrate our Alumni from every generation in this 45 years showing ideals, harvesting leaders!, and we will have once every month a Generational meetings to meet again our Alumni, integrate them, and show how is AIESEC in Mexico and our anniversary things going!

ANP, NOPS 2008

National Planning Assembly (ANP) 2008

Transition starts over this conference, here AIESEC members (Executive Boards current and elected) will be focused on what do they want to see for the next term at National Level and start planning 2008-2009 term.

National Outgoing Preparation seminar (NOPS)

AIESEC in Mexico is going to have NOPS(National Outgoing Preparation seminar) in Puebla this April, but for our EPs in the north like Juarez and Monterrey we will have special OPS that will be organized in Ciudad Juarez at the first week of May. This will help to have a strong interact between those LCs in providing of the good involvement of the EPs in that LC's.

All Other LCs will see you in Puebla for the ANP/NOPS conference.

Corporate Responsibility Partners

This year we have started with great partnerships around projects based on issues, AIESEC is working hard to create environments to develop members with issue based experiences, and in Mexico we are following regional and global steps!!!

For our projects in Mexico we have worked since last year to create two amazing partnership with ASHOKA MEXICO and CEMEFI

These two great organizations are working with us to improve our projects!

Ashoka Mexico and AIESEC in México Partnership:
Our Partnership is for to push our Social Entrepreneurs in AIESEC, and make more positive impact in Mexican society through our Issue Based Experiences! Ashoka will support financially and with training to AIESEC in Mexico Members during the entire 2008, looking to extend our partnership every year!

CEMEFI and AIESEC in México Partnership:
CEMEFI has invited AIESEC to participate in their Main Event in the year, where they deliver the recognition to the companies in Mexico as Social Responsible Companies, but also we will start a project called Implement CR, CEMEFI will train 20 AIESEC Interns during three months, and the rest of the time of the project in the social corporate responsible practices in companies in Mexico, to support also Companies for a better impact in the implementation, but also to spread knowledge to young people who will lead ideas for the impact on society, AIESEC leaders!
