From 25th until 30th of April AIESEC Mexico participated in the Regional conference named ILC (Iberoamerican Leadership Congress) in Barcelona, Spain.

As part of the initiative we had the pleasure to share the conference with Portugal that is going to become part of Iberoamerica region in no so much time.

In this congress we could share experiences with other countries and we reviewed the main topics and strategies that we are going to implement the next term as SUSTAINABILITY and COUNTRY - COUNTRY COOPERATION, that are going to ride us to achieve our 2010 goals according with to our vision.

280 members all around the region shared and worked on the strategies of AIESEC and developed their competences during the trainings that we received from companies as DHL, ENDESA, FEMSA, and many other companies that believe in us.

As Mexico we were the biggest delegation in representation with 28 members participating and sharing, but also building relationships that are going to make to achieve our results easier and also going to let us cooperate with other countries.

At the end of the 3rd Quarter of the term the results in exchange are:

Incoming Exchange

July - September: 13 exchanges 40.91% Decrease
October - December: 26 exchanges 30% Growth
January - March: 23 exchange 91% Growth

For a total of 62 Incoming Exchanges until today
Immigration Office help us with VISAS issues and as result we increase our diversity, right now we have in Mexico Interns from 34 differente nationality Including India, China, Colombia, Brazil, and many other.

Outgoing Exchange

July - September: 20 exchanges 9.09% Decrease
October - December : 19 exchange 90% Growth
January - March : 20 exchange 11.11% Growth

For a total of 59 Outgoing Exchanges until today
Main destiny of Mexican in the world is Western Europe, Asia and Iberoamerica.
Embassy of India in Mexico gave us access to their VISAS again and now we are sending more and more Mexican to that Mystic Country. 2 years a go India was the main destiny of Mexican exchange participants.

To start our celebrations, our 45th Anniversary will be launched during our next National Conference, ANP, in Puebla, on 26th of April.

And our Main Celebration has changed its date, to ensure most of our Stakeholders will be there, before they go to vacations, and to have the best infrastructure to celebrate, we will have our GALA DINNER on May 29th at "Centro Asturianos de Polanco" in Mexico City, starting from 5 pm., where we will have Partnership stands and our amazing AIESEC Museum, showing to all of us 45 years of History!, and then from 8 p.m., we will have our Gala Dinner, with recognitions and celebration of 45 years Sowing Ideals, Harvesting Leaders!

Transition starts over this conference, here AIESEC members (Executive Boards current and elected) will be focused on what do they want to see for the next term at National Level and start planning 2008-2009 term.
